Melissa Musgrave

Founder of the 2019 Camden Musical Society, Melissa is a passionate musical theatre enthusiast and community theatre performer. Melissa’s 20 year theatre experience includes on stage and on the executive with Campbelltown Theatre Group, as well as on stage with Bankstown Musical Society and Chatswood Musical Society. Highlights were playing Miss Hannigan in Annie (2000 – CTGi), Rosie in The Wedding Singer (2017 – CTGi), Vicki in The Full Monty (2013 – CTG1) and Patty Simcox in Grease (Chatswood Musical Society – 2004).

Her day job has her managing the Marketing and Communications Unit for a government agency and has had many years in corporate units including governance, planning and public affairs, 

Melissa’s return to working closely with the Camden Community in youth development is a reminder of the Youth Liaison Officer role she performed in 1998 and 1999.

Her strengths are in marketing, communications, planning, governance and event management.

“I believe it is time to bring community theatre back to the Camden LGA. A creative outlet for our community to participate in all aspects of musical theatre as well as an opportunity for the audience to have access to quality local talent.”
